How to Get there:

For the most affordable option, consider flying into Boston International Airport and renting a car to embark on a scenic journey to Woodstock, New Hampshire. The approximately 2-hour drive from Boston takes you through picturesque landscapes, offering a taste of New England charm before you arrive in the heart of Woodstock. The closest major airport to Woodstock, New Hampshire, is the Lebanon Municipal Airport (LEB), located approximately 43 miles west of Woodstock. Flying into Lebanon Municipal Airport can offer a more convenient option for travelers heading to Woodstock, as it significantly reduces the driving time compared to arriving at Boston International Airport. But keep in mind that the availability of flights and options may vary, so it's advisable to check for the most suitable and cost-effective travel arrangements based on your preferences and schedule.

How to Get Around:

Navigating the scenic wonders and exploring the hidden gems of Woodstock, is best achieved by having the freedom of your own vehicle. A car allows you to seamlessly traverse the captivating landscapes, from the charming downtown area to the nearby attractions like the White Mountains and Clark's Trading Post. With the flexibility to venture off the beaten path and discover the region's natural beauty at your own pace, a car becomes an indispensable companion, providing the autonomy to make the most of your Woodstock adventure.

-Public Transportation: Woodstock, New Hampshire, is a relatively rural area, and public transportation options are limited. While there may be some local or regional bus services, they may not provide extensive coverage or frequent schedules. In such areas, having a car is often the most practical and convenient way to get around.

What to Eat:

Breakfast:

White Mountain Bagels!

Indulge in a delightful breakfast at White Mountain Bagels in Woodstock, where the aroma of freshly baked bagels welcomes you to a culinary haven.

Don't be discouraged by the potential line out the door – it moves swiftly, a testament to the popularity of this local gem. The lively atmosphere and the anticipation of savoring their mouthwatering breakfast options make the wait worthwhile. While you're there, elevate your bagel experience by trying their signature homemade ade jalapeño cream cheese – a spicy twist that adds a flavorful kick to your morning. Whether you're a bagel aficionado or a first-timer, White Mountain Bagels promises a breakfast that's nothing short of delightful.

Polly's Pancakes:

The 30 minute drive outside of Woodstock takes you through picturesque windy roads into the quaint town of Sugar Hill. The wait is long but well worth the famous pancakes. Fun fact, your server actually makes your pancakes, so your order will be directly taken care of by your server. Additionally, I recommend driving (or walking) about a mile up the road from Polly's Pancakes to take a few pictures at the St Matthews Cathedral.

Hatchlands Dairy Farm:

For a sweet treat, you must have Hatchlands "Wicked Good" Ice Cream! They are quite possibly the best homemade ice cream I have ever had in the U.S., ever! Their maple flavor is to die for!

Coffee Shop:

Riverside Coffee House is a sweet little family owned place that is a joy to get your caffeine boost at. Ezgi who was our barista owns the coffee house with her husband and they do such a great job of making everyone feel at home. They treat everyone as if they already know you, and are on a first name basis and knows orders by heart for the locals. It's one of those feel-like-you're-in-a-Hallmark-movie spots. Not to mention the coffee was great and Ezgi will make you whatever you'd like even if it's not on the menu!

Dinner:

Nestled in the charming town of Littleton, (a 25 minute drive from Woodstock) Schilling Brewery is a must-visit destination for beer enthusiasts and travelers alike. With its fantastic brews and inviting atmosphere, it's the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring the famous downtown street in Littleton. Situated near the heart of downtown, Schilling Brewery allows you to stroll through the picturesque streets, browse the local shops, and soak in the small-town charm while enjoying some of the finest craft beers around.

Enzo's Pizzeria:

This is a great place to go to for pizza, the restaurant has a small town vibe and is a great place to bring friends.

Chelsey's Pizzeria:
If you're looking to order out, Chelsey's Pizza is a must try. Their hot honey pizzas are amazing! They don't have any seating inside, so you'll just be picking up to take home but it's worth it!

Recommended Stay:

Nestled in the serene woods of Woodstock, New Hampshire, Lumen Nature Retreat offers an unforgettable glamping experience. Surrounded by nature's beauty, this retreat boasts two Nordic saunas and stunning cabins with picturesque lake views. Celebrating my birthday here was an absolute delight—the tranquility of the surroundings made for the perfect escape. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in relaxation and bliss. This is a ‘glamping’ experience so the bathrooms and showers are located in the center of the property just a short walk from all of the cabins. The smokeless fireplace in the cabins makes for a cozy experience without the allergies or irritants that come along with smoke. Given their central location to all the activities that Woodstock and Lincoln offer, and the lovely experience they offer their guests, I would highly recommend Lumen Nature Retreat to anyone seeking a rejuvenating getaway.
