Polly's Pancakes:
The 30 minute drive outside of Woodstock takes you through picturesque windy roads into the quaint town of Sugar Hill. The wait is long but well worth the famous pancakes. Fun fact, your server actually makes your pancakes, so your order will be directly taken care of by your server. Additionally, I recommend driving (or walking) about a mile up the road from Polly's Pancakes to take a few pictures at the St Matthews Cathedral.
Hatchlands Dairy Farm:
For a sweet treat, you must have Hatchlands "Wicked Good" Ice Cream! They are quite possibly the best homemade ice cream I have ever had in the U.S., ever! Their maple flavor is to die for!
Coffee Shop:
Riverside Coffee House is a sweet little family owned place that is a joy to get your caffeine boost at. Ezgi who was our barista owns the coffee house with her husband and they do such a great job of making everyone feel at home. They treat everyone as if they already know you, and are on a first name basis and knows orders by heart for the locals. It's one of those feel-like-you're-in-a-Hallmark-movie spots. Not to mention the coffee was great and Ezgi will make you whatever you'd like even if it's not on the menu!

Schilling Brewery:
Nestled in the charming town of Littleton, (a 25 minute drive from Woodstock) Schilling Brewery is a must-visit destination for beer enthusiasts and travelers alike. With its fantastic brews and inviting atmosphere, it's the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring the famous downtown street in Littleton. Situated near the heart of downtown, Schilling Brewery allows you to stroll through the picturesque streets, browse the local shops, and soak in the small-town charm while enjoying some of the finest craft beers around.
Enzo's Pizzeria:
This is a great place to go to for pizza, the restaurant has a small town vibe and is a great place to bring friends.
Chelsey's Pizzeria:
If you're looking to order out, Chelsey's Pizza is a must try. Their hot honey pizzas are amazing! They don't have any seating inside, so you'll just be picking up to take home but it's worth it!

New England towns hold a historic charm that captivated my California transplant heart. In additional to Woodstock, New Hampshire, they are so many neighboring towns that are a short drive away through dreamy windy roads. My favorite to explore are: Woodstock, Vermont, Lincoln, NH and Sugar Hill, New Hampshire.

Nestled in the serene woods of Woodstock, New Hampshire, Lumen Nature Retreat offers an unforgettable glamping experience. Surrounded by nature's beauty, this retreat boasts two Nordic saunas and stunning cabins with picturesque lake views. Celebrating my birthday here was an absolute delight—the tranquility of the surroundings made for the perfect escape. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in relaxation and bliss. This is a ‘glamping’ experience so the bathrooms and showers are located in the center of the property just a short walk from all of the cabins. The smokeless fireplace in the cabins makes for a cozy experience without the allergies or irritants that come along with smoke. Given their central location to all the activities that Woodstock and Lincoln offer, and the lovely experience they offer their guests, I would highly recommend Lumen Nature Retreat to anyone seeking a rejuvenating getaway.
